Risky Play

It’s not often we feature news programs but this Global News feature on childhood play got our attention.

In this one, Laurel Gregory speaks with those that advocate children engage in riskier play: jumping off trees, having play sword fights, things of that nature. Advocates say this type of risk helps children later in life, whether it’s in managing their own risk, improving motor skills, or in fostering relationships.
