Laying Down The Law

Getting to look behind the scenes of the gaming industry is pretty rare. Whether it’s development, marketing, sales, or publishing, the industry is pretty tight-lipped about the whole affair (though that’s slowly changing).

The article I’m featuring today is a peek behind the curtain of video game law. In the first entry of a series of pieces, videogame lawyer Marc Whipple explains how trademarks work, specifically referring to King’s trademark of the word “Super”. It’s a quick and informative read that manages to make the topic of law, which has a perception of being dryer than overcooked chicken, entertaining.
